I got a letter from the City of Los Angeles stating "pursuant to the provisions of 21.16 of the Los Angeles municipal Code, we hereby levy an estimated assessment of $3,357 dollars"...?! The basis for the tax is that I received $3 million! Yeah right! I WISH! I probably made $40k last year and i definitely paid my taxes. I don't know what the hell this is. Obviously, I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask WTF. Any thoughts? advice?
