Hi all, I've been having issues with water seeping into my house in the corner of my basement. It's a walkout basement, and not underground where the issue is. Outside of where the issue is coming from I pulled a partially rotten post out that was bolted into the foundation to reveal this:https://ift.tt/2Rgph8d post was in the gap between my siding and that retaining wall on the right side. With it gone I noticed this large gap between my siding and the foundation next to it. The siding is sitting about an inch or so in front of that foundation wall. My question is, what would be the best way to seal this up?I was thinking I could cut a piece of siding from home depot or somewhere to size and caulk all around it? Or I also had someone recommend putting a piece of cedar back in that spot and caulking all around that. Is there a different and better way I should consider? Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2qca8t4
