As of this past Friday, my work place staff is down to 2 Supervisors (myself and another who was with the company before I was hired 5 years ago). Initially there were 6 managerial staff - Director, Operations Manager, Office Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, and two Warehouse Supervisors. Our Office Supervisor decided to retire and a replacement was not approved so I was moved into the position to perform a dual role. Last month, the Director and Operations Manager were fired due to mistreating employees. In that fallout, the Transportation Supervisor was overworked and put in a two weeks notice.

After the Director and Ops Manager were let go, the Regional Director came to visit and help out, and asked me privately how I was doing and if I was okay. I told him that I understood why these two were let go but that if the transportation supervisor left, I'd be in a state of despair of how we could get the job done. He reassured me that the trans. supervisor had rescinded the two week notice and was speaking out of frustration. I interviewed for the Director position with this Regional Director and our Regional HR representative and asked again, at the end, if it was true the trans. supervisor was staying with the company. They both told me yes, they planned on staying. This past Friday I received and automatic response from an email I sent from the person saying they were no longer with the company.

We have all been working 11-13hr days (salaried, overtime exempt managers) for the past month, getting the work done. This apparent "lie" I was told has left me extremely upset and wondering if the transportation supervisor lied to corporate or if corporate was lying to me to keep my spirits up. The immediate future does not look good and I am just sitting here wondering what sort of action I can take or if there's any room for negotiation to make my situation better. Is there reasonable cause to ask for a raise? Is it ethical for them to lie to me like that? I'm just questioning so many things and looking for advice. I can't afford to up and quit unless I found another job before leaving. The situation just went from bad to terrible and I am seeking advice, if there's any to give.

Thanks ahead of time and sorry for the wall of text.
