Hello, r/personal finance. I am currently a student in Wisconsin finishing up my schooling with student teaching. In prior years I was able to work 25+ hours a week to pay for my living expenses, however with student teaching and coaching I am unable to sustain that and my sanity. As of now I have 200$ left in savings and have an income of $75 per week. I spend $30 on gas and try to keep my food bill under $65 per week. Increasing my income isn't really an option with the current rigor of my course work. So I am wondering what PF would suggest? After talking to financial aid they cannot help at all. My thought was taking out a private loan. However, having never done this I'm not sure what kind of loan I would want. How much should I try to get, what % interest and any other important thing I should know. Are there online options or should I go to a bank? Any advice would be much appreciated. If I'm missing something please ask and I'll edit the post. If I live meagerly I could survive the semester, however I'm worried that a small car repair or broken phone will put me into credit cards (which I have a $1000 limit). Currently I'm going to graduating with 15k debt mid January. I'm just worried about getting there.
