I want to start by saying that I'm not sure if this is the best subreddit to be asking on, but its the first one that comes to mind.
I just finished taking a nap and the first thing I happened to check after I woke up was my email. I saw an email from "Apple ID" and of course checked it. It said that my Apple ID information needed updating or it would be deleted. So, being the idiot I am, thought "well I don't want that to happen" and filled out the information as requested. It wasn't until about 30 minutes later that I realized all of the many sketchy things about what had happened. Like, why would Apple need my SSN, credit/debit card info, or why would it only have 3 security questions, (mothers maiden name, drivers license number, and something else just as weird).
So, now I'm wondering what I do next. I called my bank and cancelled my card, changed my Apple ID password, email password and a few other accounts using the same email/password, and I called a couple of credit places to freeze my stuff (Experion, Trans Union, and Equifax).
Any help is appreciated, thanks
