I have been extremely fortunate and have a well paying business job that I enjoy. It’s definitely very comfortable for one person, but I’m not sure how that translates once I have a family to support.
Some things I’d like to be able to afford in the future are: fully paying for my kids’ college education, annual family trips to international destinations, weekly family dinners out, and an apartment for my parents to live in (in addition to a house for myself). Most likely I will end up in a large city with a relatively high cost of living.
