Hey all. So for the past few months, my wife and I have been trying to cut back and throw as much money towards student loans and car loan. We put over 22% of our monthly budget towards paying off those debts. Aside from debts (which are actually quite manageable) I really just want to cut back and be more wise with what we spend.
I feel like every month, something pops up that ends up being a "big" purchase and eats through our alreadly small shopping budget. Like, there is always something every month that comes up and makes us go in the red, or pull from another budget. It is more discouraging than anything else.
Am I the only one who goes through this? Anyone have some tips to help determine whether or not to pull from savings vs. rearranging budget when something like this come up?
