Hey PF, I've never used this sub before but I've lurked a bit, I'm currently 18M living with a family friend as my family's living situation is kinda unstable. I currently bring home 400-550$ after taxes a month from a 8$ an hour job that I work 4-6 days a week. I am debating on going into the military but honestly I don't want to sacrifice the freedom civilian life gives me. College is out of the picture, I honestly don't have any funds for it and my grades aren't good enough for any scholarships (though I test well). I'm strongly considering a trade school/technical school to get a degree in IT/cyber security, however the family friend that lets me stay with him might move in the next 6-8 months and at that point I'd either A). Move back in with my family and just deal with the crazyness or B) Join the Military (I'm not in any kind of shape at all) or C.) Pay half of all rent/utilities/groceries for the family friend when we move. I am currently only paying him 50-110$ a month for rent/food due to the fact I just got this job and it's my first. I'm mainly living off of food I bring home from work, but I'm trying to eat healthier and food from a pizza place isn't the healthiest. I honestly don't know what to do in the coming months wiether it be living situation or career path, any suggestions? I'm honestly really scared. Thanks!
Edit: I forgot to mention that if I do end up enlisting, I don't have a good place to store any of my stuff. The family friend might take it as he's more lible to keep it then my family is if I store it with them.
