So I have downsized and got rid of around 75% of my belongings the last year. Mostly stuff that just takes up space and don't really have a meaning anymore. Some of it is stuff I used to like, or want to do, but I just don’t have time for it.
I love a lot of things. I love books, but sold most of my books, big photo and art books, and graphic novels as I can rent them at the library. I kept a few of the one I REALLY love and that I want to read several times.
I also love video games, but sold a lot of gaming gear as most of my friends don't have time or interest to game anymore. I kept one console and one game controller, so I still can play by myself.
Recently, I started looking at my board game collection. I bought a lot of them last year, as I love gaming (both video games and board games) as a socially, interactive get-together-thing. But again, they haven't been used since I bought them. It is incredible difficult to make appointments with my friends and get a gaming night for 3 or 4 people. Is there any reason for keeping stuff that you use once or twice a year?
So I started to get rid of the 3 and 4 player board games, and now I only have left games that scale well down to 2 players.
Long post, but do you ever feel like you're getting rid of stuff you want to love, you want to use it, but there's really no point in keeping it?
