I'm looking to get a first teddy bear for my toddler this Christmas and am wondering what suggestions you all might have.
I've already heard about Vermont Teddy Bear company bears, they seem maybe the best option, although I love a more classic look (would love to hear any experiences with them too). Also, I am in Canada so there is only a limited selection available to ship.
Love the look of Steiffs but they are SO expensive - are they really worth it? Seems like they're not even all made in Germany anymore.
I've had good experiences with vintage Gunds, but am not so sure about the newer ones.
My toddler just wants something very soft and huggable. He loves stories like "Going on a Bear Hunt" and "Blueberries for Sal," so a little more realistic black bear probably would also work.
