Like many of you I absolutely hate wasting money / being frivolous. I enjoy the “smaller” things in life and don’t feel the need to buy a the brand new iPhone / expensive clothes / go clubbing etc. etc. but it seems like most of my peers can’t relate. It is just very odd to me. I realize that a lot of people want to enjoy life / relieve stress and spending money is a way for them to achieve this. However, I just don’t understand it and I often time feel like people are critical because I would prefer to stay in to eat / not go to expensive events or clubs.
What I am getting at is - how do you deal with this? What do you usually do when you hangout with your peers that aren’t very price conscious? How have you gone about finding like-minded people to chat with and form friendships with (outside of reddit). Would really anyone and everyone’s feedback and perspective.
