Morning all!
I am 32 years old and did not start saving for retirement until 30, so I am a little behind in an ideal situation but I know that with some elbow grease and smart planning I can course correct.
I am currently contributing 17% of my 55K salary (it used to be 15% and 53.5K but when I received a raise recently I increased my contribution to 17%).
My company uses Wells Fargo to service our plan, and currently I have ~21K total in my 401k all invested in Vanguard Target Retirement 2050 Trust II.
I am very green to all of this, but usually learn things quickly, since I'm playing with live ammo here I wanted some thoughts from the masses.
The expense of my current plan is .08%, and the allocation of the trust my money is currently in is:
- 54.55% U.S. Stock
- 33.74% Non U.S. Stock
- 6.43% U.S. Bond
- 3.26% Non U.S. Bond
- 1.56% Cash
- 0.44% Other
- 0.01% Preferred
- 0.01% Convertible
I have one main question for this group: Should I move any of my money around or just continue dumping as much as possible in to the Vanguard Trust 2050? If anyone is incredibly bored - I cut and pasted all of the investment options in to an image, if you see anything smarter, please let me know. My Investment Options on Wells Fargo's Dashboard
