Water intermittently drips through the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom. Sometimes it won’t drip for weeks then it picks back up again. Sometimes I see a drop per day, other times in the past I would occasionally get a small puddle.Directly above it is my upstairs bathroom. The location of the leak roughly correlates to the center of the floor of the upstairs bathroom. But everything appears dry upstairs and I can’t correlate the water dripping with any particular activitiy such as showering. I had a handman come out and we couldn’t elicit the leak. Everything under the bathtub is dry even right after showering. He installed a second access panel to the bathtub and there was no moisture observed there either. I recaulked everything just in case.Lately the drip mainly occurs at night which is even more unusual because nothing is being used. I should note it’s a condominium and from time to time neighboring units will cause a leak, but the location of my leak is squarely within my unit. However the leaking did seem to decrease significantly when the neighbors moved out but although the unit is vacant I am still seeing sporadic droplets.Any insights on what to do next, short of tearing into the sheetrock downstairs and searching? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2AzwhY9
