Hi! I have a large akita who somehow accidentally closed a door on himself trapping him in the bathroom while I was at work. I work nights, so normally he just sleeps while I'm gone but there was a pretty bad thunderstorm that night. He panicked and tore the hell out of my bathroom trying to get out.I rent my house in Missouri. I've told the landlord and asked what she wanted me to do and haven't received much response other than that she would "look into it". I feel like I can repair these damages pretty easily (and cheaper than a repairman, since I'm barely getting by) but I've run into a few issues before starting.photos of the damage!Mainly the issue is, is that there's multiple layers of linoleum in the floor - looks like they just put down new layers during remodeling or something. There's like five or six different recognizable patterns. It's a small bathroom, so I was just going to tear it all up and put new linoleum down, but I'm concerned how to remove ALL the layers, and that the new layer might sink below the trim/door edges when it's laid down.I was going to sand the gouges in the wood and fill with putty, and paint it.I'm not experienced at all in home repairs but I'm pretty capable and I know how to research. I just haven't found anything about this specific multiple-layer linoleum issue.Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IDmGSO
