I've listened to this talk at least a couple of times in the past couple of days. As both a psych graduate and a social worker, this talk piqued my interest on so many intellectual levels (the War on Drugs, neurobiology, social psychology, ethics, community, etc), but also hit hard on a personal level about my relationship with technology, and our society's in general. It goes quite a few steps beyond the usual talk about dopaminergic reinforcement on the individual level, and was good food for thought for me on several levels.
I cannot recommend it enough to anyone. It's with Adam Alter, a behavioural scientist who takes special interest in addiction and digital ethics.
