Hi folks,I have a porch light with a switch in the house. It had another 3-way switch in the attached garage. I didn't like it so I removed it, replaced the house one with a 2-way, and disconnected /tied up the 12/3 running between the boxes.Now I'm installing 2 additional lights on the garage. I was going to run new wiring through the attic and over to the existing light and control them all from that switch.I'm wondering if it would be ok to instead use that extra wiring between the 2 boxes. I could splice the wires in the garage, then pick them up again right at the box in the house and save a lot of trouble. The extra red wire could just be capped off.Is this okay?
