Like many, I have had several Jansports throughout the years. The older ones are made of a nice and thick material.
I was at a store the other day and saw the Hatchet backpack from Jansport. When I picked it up, it felt incredibly light and the material was incredibly thin and, at first glance, it doesnt seem like it would take a beating but maybe the technology has gotten better with the fabric...? I understand there is a lifetime guarantee but I like the feeling of a nicely used, worn (but still reliable) bag.

- Are the newer Jansports as strong as previous generations?
- People that have bought jansports in the last 5 years - how have they been holding up?
