My friend and I live together in a small town several miles from Ft. Worth Texas. We both garden and save every bit of food waste to make compost and refrain from using paper plates, paper towels, etc. to reduce the waste going to our trash (trash service is costly where we live so we try to be conservative). There tends to be a lot of metal and plastic that goes to our trash since a recycling service doesn't run where we live. Any tips for how we could possibly recycle these materials?
