Hi everyone. I consider myself a regular lurker to this subreddit and have found so much helpful information here. I have heard so many stories about people losing job, loved ones, and houses and it makes me so happy to see a community that is so helpful and caring. I come from California and a lot of my friends have lost houses due to the fires, and now with Hurricane Florence more tragedy is sweeping across the country. I feel so lucky to have my things still in tact and to be okay, but I just want to remind everyone that despite these monetary losses or hardships, if you have loved ones surrounding you that's more than any amount of money. Say hi to a loved one today and tell them you are thankful they are around. Send a text or give a hug. Our friends and family have more value than a million dollars could ever bring us.
