Good day everyone!

I’ve been a lurker around here for a while now, and ever since stumbling upon this subreddit, I was able to start saving cash and paying off my debt. Thanks for that guys!

Now into the juicy stuff. Let me just start off by posting this screenshot of the figures for you to digest: https://imgur.com/gallery/JA23SX2

I saved over $920 on cigarettes, since I quit exactly 6 months ago. That is a ton of money to have been spending on something that does the complete opposite of benefitting you in any single way.

I smoked about a half a pack a day, which equalled out to ~10 cigs a day (even more on the stressful days). A pack of cigarettes, give or take what I was smoking at the time, costed me $10(CAD). I usually bought 20 packs, sometimes 25 packs which costed even MORE, but for the sake of getting the minimum amount of cash I saved, I calculated using 20 packs. So, this means aside from the figures in the screenshot, I’ve saved even MORE.

Just thought I’d share this to my smoking lurkers out here. Just remember, it’s never too late guys. If you’d like to see your statistics like this automatically calculated on your journey of no-smoking, I used an app called QuitNow. It’s free!
