So I just purchased a new house and we decided to redo all of the trim work on the main floor. I ripped out all of the old door casings, baseboards etc. , and have been installing all new baseboard, wainscoting, crown etc. and have come across a problem I can’t find a good solution for on google. In my main entryway/mud room , I installed board and batten trim using a 1x6 pine board as the baseboard. In the rest of the main space , I’ve installed 5” profiled baseboard molding. There is one outside corner where these two pieces meet, and I have no clue how to transition them properly without it looking terrible.I’ve tried a few different combos but they all look pretty bad. Help me figure out how to make the corner look bad where two different baseboard styles meet. Also to make it a little more awkward , the tile flooring where the board and batten is, sits slightly higher than the wood floor where the profiled baseboard is.All help appreciated, thankshttps://imgur.com/a/HgCnC4m via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2xrHAim
