https://ift.tt/2xe6keH have been remodeling my older farmhouse with a previously unfinished basement. I put furring up and insulated then finished drywall in the basement. My issue now is the stairs. They are right up against a exterior wall and a load bearing wall on the other side. When i extended the wall out I'm left with narrow stairs (29 1/4") and no running board on the sides.Should I just build a new set of steps at the right width? Or like in the picture, run a 1/2" x10' trim board and notch it for the steps. I would notch the step overhang to make it easier. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2QC6gh4
