My 2 year old has $8k in the bank. Where should I invest it for her use towards a down payment on her first home?

This money is not for college use. Therefore, no 529 or college savings product recommendations needed. Considering a passively managed index fund, but not sure what website to start with to evaluate options. Want to be careful about paying big fees.
