I had been investing in various crypto currencies, weighted heavier towards bitcoin, since the beginning of 2017. I was up but haven’t really touched my portfolio for the last 9 months, except to make an additional etherum buy.

The portfolio was a decent chunk of money ($15k at cost) that I’m going to regret losing, but ultimately it’s a learning lesson and fortunately i can afford to lose it all.

I don’t have the time to keep track of all the daily nonsense in the space and chase the new developments so I’m wondering if I should exit the space (or pull out a large portion of my existing portfolio) and move it into public equities to attempt to earn some of the capital back.

Looking for honest feedback. Yes I know this outcome has only me to blame. Yes I know I did not invest more than what I was willing to lose, but it’s still annoying.

Edit: my public equity investing has historically done well.. usually around 12-20% per year gains. Of course however, this has only been during the bull market that I began investing so past performance is not predictive
