Hi guys,a few days ago our first floor ceiling under the second floor bathroom started leaking water, after some investigation it seem like the culprit is the caulk around the tub got loosen up. Judging from some stain on the ceiling, it seem like small leaks has been going for a while and recently the hole got bigger, allowing more water to go through, ended up causing the water to leak down from the hole. We managed to re-caulk the tub, but I was wondering do I still need a contractor to come help me open up the ceiling to dry out the inside and potentially repair the water damage inside? I'm concerned about rotted wood and mold...I have no equipment to do such repair, if I do need to get a contractor to do the job, how much should I expect the quote?
