Recently, I discover what I believe to be the key to frugality and one of the keys to happiness. In my opinion, if you keep your monthly bills as low as possible, you will be happy. For example: instead of going out and buying a nice car using loans, buy a used but still in good shape vehicle with cash/check upfront, so your only bill is gas, insurance and potential repairs. I realized that you don’t need a big house or super nice apartment, you just need something that works. I cut down almost all of my clothing to simply what I need. A few shirts, a fall jacket and winter jacket, one sweatshirt etc. I have been using all the money I’ve been saving on experiences instead of items of material worth and i am starting to feel whole. It’s nice.
TLDR: being frugal is changing my life and I’m finally feeling whole
