Hello all.

I have worked for a software company (under 30 employees, we don't even have a HR department) for about a year and seven months. I was initially hired to do support, but I quickly picked up additional responsibilities (In-app A/B testing, design, running an in-house program, etc). I was excited to get a chance to work at such an awesome company so I took the support position at $35k/yr.

After a year, every employee gets a bonus as well. Well, yesterday I found out that my co-worker who is always late and *only* does the core job functions makes about 3x as much as I do. Talking with other people in the office also brought to light the fact that I also have the lowest bonus % in the office as well.

I love this job and work extremely hard but this definitely hit me kind of hard. I constantly cover for my co-worker which constantly changes my shift. I've taken on additional responsibilities, implemented support systems, etc. I feel undervalued.

During my year review, I was granted a raise that brought me to about $40k and gave me access to the bonus. At the time, I thought this was great, but it turns out that all of my co-workers make about 45% more than I do on the bonus.

I don't deserve to make as much as our awesome devs, but I do feel like I've shown enough value to make the same, if not more, than my co-worker that has the same title.

I don't know how to approach this, but I feel empty. I've given a lot for this job and scarified time with my young child on multiple occasions to go above and beyond for this company. How do I approach my employer about this?
