Hello all! FTP on mobile, yada yada. I apologize if this has been here before because I am new.
I absolutely love home decor and clothes like most people and I had a giant problem with just buying because it was pretty. I came up with this solution to declutter and stop buying and it goes like so.
Clothes: Do I have at least one item I will wear this with, and two situations where I will wear it. E.g.: I want to buy a cute sundress. Do I have the shoes and accessories or will I need to buy something else for it later down the line? Where will I wear it? To the park? Shopping?
Home decor: I have to imagine at least two places in my house it can go and where I will put it when I get home. If i really love it, and have no room something else already owned must be donated. The item to be donated is decided on in the store to decide if the item I'm buying is worth it.
This could probably be used for other things but these are my worst two areas.
