Wife had the idea. We had 4 slices of bread that were on the way out and a new loaf at the ready.
Chop into small cubes. Drizzle EVOO over the top, add salt and pepper. Mix in a bowl. Bake for 15 minutes at 400. Viola, about a $3 bag of croutons (had you bought them in the store) for your salads using bread you would have otherwise discarded. They taste great too.
