Quick explanation: I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 other people, and my "bedroom" is just a living room we put a makeshift door on. It's a decent sized space, just a very long one, and I like making myself a small living room then having a divider and a small bedroom behind it. I have the curtains already, and for 8 months or so I had a sort of silly setup where I'd hung candle sconces on either side then had a pole used for pool cleaning that could extend out almost 13' that I balanced on them. That worked decently up until the metal sconce actually snapped, so now I'm looking for something a bit more reliable and less silly looking.I asked reddit when I first tried this project, so here's the things I can clear up:- there are NO traditional room divider poles that are long enough to span 13', I searched extensively. You can find a couple online, but they don't reasonably deliver to Canada. I spent a bunch of time down this avenue.- I CAN'T make any permanent constructions, such as a wood frame, it's not allowed in my apartment and it's a rule very seriously enforced (my roommate almost got evicted once over a simple project). I'm also not willing to build a frame not attached to the wall or anything like that, I don't have the tools or the space or any friends with the tools or the space, and I'm not comfortable with it anyway. I can screw things into the wall though! I do own a power drill. So my main issue comes down to finding something to span 13' that can hold up two nice quality curtains (they're not super heavy but not feather weight either).
