It's getting too cold to continue using the air conditioner as white noise to block out street traffic noises, and my partner doesn't like any of the actual white noise machines we tried. Plus, the uncontrollable steam heat in the winter makes it hot enough to open windows/use fans anyway.
I'm looking for ideas for fans or other machinery (ideally fans) for the bedroom that could help to block out traffic/street noise as well as an air conditioner could. What does frugal think? What do you all use?
