If you've got young children, it can sometimes help to ask friends and family with children if they happen to have any past costumes that they don't need anymore. Kids often wear a costume once and outgrow it, so these costumes stay in good condition. I know plenty of moms happy to give away past gently used costumes taking up closet space if asked. I'm one of them!
