Been with my company about a year, there have been a few reshuffles as far as who I report to, and now I'm being rolled up under a total different team/department.

Part of my compensation includes an incentivized bonus, 20% of my annual salary split up quarterly, and then adjusted based upon performance for the quarter.

Just had a meeting with one of my new team heads, and he's basically intoning that this will no longer be honored, that I'll be part of the "bonus pool" that the team gets when money is available.

Since this represents potentially a fairly substantial of my income just disappearing, was wondering if there's any obligation on the company's part to honor the original agreement, or if they can simply change it at will? I've read through my offer letter and there's nothing that states that they can modify the compensation agreement.

Thoughts?
