I saw a post a few days ago about a guy being broke and asking for some advice how to handle his money. I saw that he go really great responses from reddit and I even took some of the tips for myself. I think I'm in a similar,if not, worse situation. I'm currently 24 y/o. I am working a full time earning about $700 every two weeks. I have to pay about $400 in bills not including food, gas and other small expenses. I have about $2000 in debt from previous student loans. I think I need help with is trying to figure out how to get rid of my debt and go back to school without going into more debt. Now I'm been stressing about this for a while that its causing me to go into depression. I live with my parents who are both not us citizens and are earning barely enough to pay for rent, food, and some bills. They both earn a little more than minimum wage. I know they want me to go to school and it kills them that they can't really help me. I want to study computer science. I started taking classes at a community college but had to stop because it was getting too expensive for me to pay out of pocket. I want to get rid of my debt first before I can go back to school but it seems like every time I try to pay it off, something always comes up. My car broke down about a month ago which set me back $800. I need the car to get to work and other places. Sometimes I try to save up money but there's times where my parents need help paying bill or ask for my help. We live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my sister. She's a sophomore in high school. I work full time and have a gf who lives about 40 minutes away. I just had conversation with her and told her my situation because her mom has been asking me about school. I've been trying to keep calm and figure something out but today I broke down because I don't know what to do anymore and living in a roach-infested place is not helping. I just want help to try to figure things out and get rid of this debt and plan a future for my, my family, and my gf.This was really hard for me to type and I had to make a throwaway for it but any help is appreciated.
