Hi Guys,
I first of all am no way affiliated with lidl or Parkside tools, and if you are not into DIY its probably going to be very boring!! I have wanted to put a post on for some time to reccommend them to you guys and why Frugal DIYers and Pros of Reddit, should consider them when looking for Power Tools and the reasons behind that.
I am a professional Tradesman I have my own business, I do Painting and Decorating, Tiling & Handyman type work, I used to have a mixture of Bosch and Ryobi tools, but found I was replacing them regurlarly especially the Bosch ones and the warranties were just 12 months so seemed to last around that length of time and in some cases far less, I once had 2 brand new Bosch Jigsaws break on the first day the 3rd one lasted a further 3 months and then broke.
I stumbled upon Parkside when I had 2 other guys working with me, we needed 3 drills I only had 2, the customers house was opposite a lidl we popped over to grab some lunch, They had a 16v Parkside drill driver for £29.99, so for the purposes of one job, I bought it as I noticed it came with a 3 year warranty, 3 times what you get with Bosch.
I was amazed at this drills Quality & performance it out performed my 18v Ryobi drill Driver and older Bosch one I had, it looked pretty sweet too...The battery lasted forever and the driver bit stayed in better shape than the other Bosch bits I had been using. I looked on Ebay and noticed they were being sold at double if not triple the Price....So I looked into the brand further, they are produced by Einhell in Germany, Einhell are a very reputable Power Tools brand of a decent price and quality and we all know how good German engineering is.
They have a very extenensive Range, Everything from Glue guns and engravers, through almost all hand held Power Tools up to air compressors and air compressed power tools, pressure washer, welders pretty much everything....When you buy them from lidl you are literally buying them at probably a 3rd of the retail cost.
the 20v range and 12v range all have the same batteries and have a real extensive range that go with them, I have the 20v Hammer Drill, Jigsaw, Impactor, Angle grinder and Multi Tool, That I use just 2 batteries with, I have a 12v Palm sander, 12v Impactor, , 12v Plunge saw that all use the same batteries, every single tool performs outstandingly and id say I paid less than £300 for everything, which I have bought over a period of about 18 months.
They come with a 3 year Warranty which is the same as what you get with Makita. I have been using them now for over a year and havent had a single problem with a single item they have been in constant use and continually charged.
About the only thig going against this brand is that they are from Lidl which i guess why they will never lack any credibility, if you can get passed that I promise you are on to a winner, check some of the parkside Vs videos on youtube to see for yourselves....Perhaps not upto Makita standard in terms of feel but the same in guarantee and piece of mind, they are far superior to most middle brands I have used. So Just thought i would share It cos I am absoutely sold on them!
