I just moved into a swank new apartment that's perfect for entertaining, and I'm throwing a dinner party for a handful of close friends. So far it should only be 4 or 5 people. I'm trying to put together a menu--appetizer, maybe fresh-baked bread or a salad, entree, dessert--that's not going to break the bank but still wows my guests.
What's your favorite thing to make for a party situation that's not crazy expensive to put together?
