TL;DR: need advice on what to wear in office environment and where to buy clothes that’s not too expensive but also good quality.
Recently got a job as a receptionist and the environment is business-casual. This is my first “office” type job and was working at casual places like retail prior.
Manager gave me a brief rundown on what’s not allowed(no leggings, open toe shoes, jeans, joggers (think he meant sweatpants but I’m not going to risk it) and graphic tees) and the dress code sounds pretty relaxed but I’ve still run out of things to wear.
So far I’ve been wearing culottes and a plain white t-shirt since it’s summer and pretty hot where I live.
What I’m asking is for outfit ideas and where to buy nicer clothes without breaking the bank. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
