Have an old kitchen table that really has nothing wrong with it. Wife replaced it with a different size and now it sits in the basement. So, I thought I would mess with it.The table once before (11 years) was stripped down with that chemical stuff that causes it to bubble and then you scrape it off. I have read some other posts and it seems this can be bad as it seeps into the wood and can mess with the new stain. Is this something I should worry about?I finished it with that dual stain/poly back when I did it, so it has a clear finish on top.I have no sander etc, so I need some guidance on where to start. Do I just get a palm sander and 80 grit and start? Is a palm sander the right tool? Is one better than the other?I figure I start with this step 1 get the tools, before getting into more technicals. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2wyjCBJ
