This might be a long post! I am a teacher looking for a teaching job. I had a teaching job last academic year and saved enough money to get me through the entire summer, or so I thought.
I was working a second job and kept it up until a month ago because my boyfriend and I were moving apartments and I was too busy packing and moving to be able to keep consistent with my work schedule and other things happening in my personal life (weird hours, no consistency, 45 minute drive). Boyfriend and I have a lot of stuff and I promise it really took me a full two weeks to pack. So, when moving came around it was far more expensive than what we were planning, and my savings basically became drained. I had to use three credit cards (around 400 or less on each) for various things we needed, and now i am worried that I won’t be able to catch up once the school year starts.
If I get a full time teaching job, making payments will be easier. If I am just a sub, I won’t be making that much money. What are some good tips or ways to save money? My credit is really good and I don’t want to put myself farther into debt.
TLDR- moving costs drained my savings, had to use credit cards. How to pay them off/good money saving tips.
Thank you for reading!
