I'm thinking of getting my sister new work boots for her birthday, a little unconventional but hear me out.

She's been stuck buying cheap work boots from Walmart for years now which has lead to some problems, mainly hurting her feet and needing to buy new boots every 12 months has been annoying.

She works for a major package carrier and spends all day on her feet walking around on concrete. She's in management but on the main warehouse floor which means she also needs steel-toed boots.

I'd like to know if there are any recommendations for a high-quality women's work boot. The requirements (in order of most important to least) follows:

  • Steel-toed
  • Comfort, must be able to be worn and walked in all day
  • Longevity
  • Heat retention (warehouse gets cold in winter)
  • Looks (best if typical work boot, leather and brown/black. No bright pastel colors allowed for uniforms)

My budget is around $300, I want to get something quality.

I've been recommended "Skechers Work Women's Workshire Peril" boots but... they aren't really what I was thinking. I was hoping for like old Redwing boots or something, boots that will last multiple years with care not "better than disposable".

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
