I've seen many pumps can be bought as replacement parts for the commercially available pet fountains, but a lot of users claim the parts wear out in 6 months or what not. Does anyone know any pumps that would stand up better to some abuse and give a longer life? I'm just looking to drive water for a small pet water fountain and I intend to use a prefilter to prevent slime and hair etc. from getting into the impeller.
