Say I own a good number of shares in a thinly traded stock and wish to sell them. Also, let's say the stock is somewhat thinly traded and my sale will represent a measurable amount of daily volume for any given day. In other words, I know my sale "might" (can't guarantee of course) move the stock downward.
Can I (legally) buy a Put immediately prior to the sale? Would this be considered manipulation somehow?
