Throwaway account for obvious reasons.
Backstory: I'm turning 18 in 1,5 years. Yesterday my parents had a long discussion with me, in which they explained that ever since my birth, up to this present day (over 16 years), they've invested a small sum of money every month into various index funds. During these years, this sum of money has grown by approximately 80 %, and long story short, here I am, sitting at 66 thousand Euros.
Plea for advice: I won't be able to access this account until my 18th birthday. At this point, the money flow to the account will stop, but it still has almost two years left to grow. Therefore I believe that it is reasonable to assume that by the time I turn 18, I will have around 80k at my disposal, in addition to wages from my summerjobs, etc.
The question is, what would you guys believe is the best course of action here? How can I make the most of this money, when planning for my future?
Any advice is highly appreciated, and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks in advance!
