Backstory first. I've been independent since I was 17, I have a trade in f&b. I somehow managed to live paycheck to paycheck with only minor hiccups. I'm 29 now. My credit is horrible because of a one timer with Verizon when I was 19. I never saved any money due to a drinking problem. I recently got sober 8 months ago. I bought a truck in cash, 6 months insured. I'm staying with family that only accepts yard work (3 acres worth) as rent. My job is about to swing into busy season. I just noticed all of my taxes came through and I now have two grand. I plan on getting dental work done but I'm confused as to what the next step is. Do I continue saving? Are there good companies to get a credit card with that understand I want to build credit? Do I take 500 and invest. I've never had this opportunity present itself where I can make a financial decisions. I just need a little guidance and advice.
