Hi all,
Firstly: I have a job. I have a full time position in hospitality that affords me a decent quality of life. I'm in no way wealthy, but I can afford to live alone in a decent apartment, travel regularly and engage in hobbies with friends. I'm (recently) single, no children and no sizeable debt. No car payment either, so essentially I have nothing tying me down except for my lease and my cat. It gets lonely, but working around people (I actually like it) and having nearly 100% freedom of movement is pretty nice. I pay my taxes just like you and I've earned everything I own. In fact, I'm making monthly payments on a bit of it just like you too.
I recently left a salaried management position that paid well, but at a minimum of 60 hrs a week. I left because I was miserable and felt confined by the lack of flexibility. I took about 5 weeks off until money started drying up and now I'm in a non-salary position and happier than I've been in years. My shifts are nowhere near as long and draining as management, and the money is nearly equivalent. I'm only taking a small-ish hit in income, but at nearly 20 fewer hours each week. That leaves me with more idle time than I'm used to, and it's boring. I can hustle at work and average anywhere from $25-45/hr, but extra shifts aren't abundant so there's not an endless flow of hours available.
That being said: how can I earn money after my shifts when I'm sitting on my ass watching TV?
Requirements: Must be a legal trade. Leaving of couch: optional.
Qualifications: High Speed internet. Associate's Degree. 4+ years supervisor experience. 3+ years management experience. Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/. Clean criminal record. 720+ credit score.
Strengths: High-level customer service training and experience. Certified training programs for multiple companies. Mediation skills. I can talk to anyone, but listening is my best strength. Team-oriented. Seeks leadership opportunities. Expertise in conflict mitigation and resolution.
Weaknesses: I like to sleep late.
I'm aware of the surveys and all that stuff but I'm an adult and I don't work for free or for pennies. I'm not expecting $30/hr, but something I can do legally in my spare time for 5-6hrs a night. Even if I only earn minimum wage, I'm okay with that because I'd be sitting on my ass otherwise. I'm also aware of getting a second job with a different company, but considering I'm not trying to get rich here and my bills are otherwise paid in full; I don't NEED to work two "jobs", nor do I want to. Also, holding two hospitality jobs is especially difficult and rather unnecessary unless you're really hurtin' for dough. I have a job already, I'm just trying to find a way to make a little extra dough for the ol' beer fund, or buying that extra souvenir on my next trip. Mobile helpdesk? Dispatch? Call-switcher? Telemarketer? Can I get paid to make bots? I'll sit on my patio and call in weather/traffic reports?
I'm open to training and would be eager to learn, grow and develop from my couch; when I'm not at my real job.
