TLDR: Are stripped carriage bolts secure/safe under load?I’m hoping someone can provide some confirmation on my assumption.I put together a weight bench the other day, and I may have stripped the carriage bolts (two on the same side) of the tubular support bars/feet.They’re snug, but don’t lock in place when I apply a little effort to tighten them more (unlike the opposite side of the bench).My assumption is that since I can neither tighten or loosen them, they’re not coming out, and therefore “secure.” Kind of like a pin.
