Is anyone out there approaching retirement or currently retired that is realizing that they did not save enough? Any advice you can give to us younger generations?

I currently help people plan and prepare for retirement. It is ingrained within me that we need to save until it hurts. I would like to know if this holds true. Has anyone saved too much for retirement?
