When I read articles like this it's absolutely frustrating that tere's never and discussion of how the common retail investor with maybe a few thousand dollars can participate.
There was an interesting propssal put forward by "Boston Art Exchange" a couple of years ago and I had hoped to see the trading go live but today I checked and the website is gone.
Now anyone can invest in multi-million dollar works of art. Boston Art Exchange allows investors to trade shares in pieces of fine artwork.<<<
So., does anyone know of an art curator that allows people to make shared investments in a single piece of art? The idea seems quiite logical, and woudl open the art markets to a far greater number of investors.
