Background: I'm a female PhD student in Australia, working in a cell culture facility. I got handed this pipette by a colleague who was complaining it wasn't working. I could see media inside the internal tubing, which means that someone had aspirated media up through the filter and into the mechanisms. The cost of sending it of for repair was on par with buying a new one. My lab manager gave me the go-ahead to have a bash at fixing it myself. I'm actually kinda proud of myself - I didn't have any help, I've always enjoyed puzzles, and I got it working like new again!EDIT: I am a noob and don't know how to link properly.https://ift.tt/2P6clR0 via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ocBePy
