Hello, I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for on the Google or the Youtube.Anyway, I'm rehabbing a bedroom (oh lord the termite damage) and the exterior wall is old ship board with asbestos tile on the outside, I'd like to leave the outside of the wall untouched. The inside I just have the studs built right against the the shipboard, maybe there was once tar paper that has since disintegrated. All the drywall is down, but there is a layer of old cedar plywood that I'll also remove (termite damaged). Question is, once I'm down to the studs, what do I do to weatherproof the walls. I can't exactly pop off the studs one by one and unroll a sheath of tyvex underneath. As far as I know, it would be a disaster to put tyvex on the inside of the studs. I've read things about using plastic covered fiberglass and just letting 'the walls breathe' and hardcore weatherproofing is not really necessary with the right materials.Any advice, links or kicks in the ass greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. The room will be used as a nursery for a baby due in December. It was previously the guest room, before that (20+ years ago) it was a garage. We've had the house 3 years.
